We had the privilege of hosting Laurence, Kim and Danny Torr in Norway the weekend of 12th through the 14th of January, 2007. Personally I had great anticipations to this visit as I previously had had the opportunity to attend two similar fellowships in Finland last November where a lot of deliverance took place.

 

My wife and myself, as well as our three children, had all invited "new & old" to come to the fellowship in our home, which was scheduled for Saturday at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. Most of the believers came, but also quite a few friends and neighbours attended. We were about 25 people all together, out of which 13 or 14 were youth. Most of them had never attended a fellowship like this previously, even though they had all previously had the opportunity to hear the Word of God taught one way or another throughout the time we have known each other.

 

The fellowship started and many testimonies of God's deliverance were presented. This was a very sweet time, and there were many tears of joy both from new & old attendees. After some songs, Danny taught the Word of God. This was quite an eye opener to the other youth. Danny is a great example to the believers, both among those of his own age and also among the adults, and I thank the Father for Danny's love to Him and for his stand on His Word. This was hot bible!

 

After a couple of hours we had a break for food. It was wonderful to hang out with everyone and answer any question they had on their hearts. I thought maybe that some of the youth were happy with what they had heard and seen at this point, but they all stayed on after the break. So did everyone else, new and old.

 

After the break we did some more singing. A wonderful believer, Kai, accompanied the singing on guitar, and this was very nice. Then we had some more testimonies before prayers and manifestations. The manifestations of holy spirit was new to a few of the newcomers, but when explained, they saw that this was straight from the Word of God.

1 Cor.2:4-5

 And my speech and my preaching [was] not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power

That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

 

We had a couple of believers living in Bonn, Germany - Ulrich and Susanne - hooked up through Skype during the entire meeting. It was great to be able to have this fellowship limitless of the physical living room from where the meeting actually was conducted.

 

Laurence taught us the Word, and it was a great teaching. A lot of healing took place already at this point.

 

Ps.107:20:

He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered [them] from their destructions.

 

Following the teaching we made  healing available.

 

A few months ago a Norwegian believers were surfing the net to find some likeminded Christian believers to get in contact with. He "accidentally" popped into Laurence's website, and they begun to chat on Skype. This was well before Laurence's trip to Norway was scheduled, so none of them knew at that point that they would ever have the opportunity to meet each other. Well, this man, Tom, lives about 50-60 minutes away from my home. We got in touch and I picked him up at the train station. He even brought a friend with him. Both of them requested deliverance, so Laurence and I ministered to them after the fellowship.

 

I thought how great it is to see how internet can be so effectual in taking the Word of God over the world. Maybe instead of calling it "world-wide-web", we should start calling it "Word-over-the-world-web"?

 

Even more people were ministered healing to and it was not until 8 o'clock that I drove the last people down to the train station. The fellowship had lasted for 7 full hours, and we had all had a great time of both sharing the Word and seeing the power of God manifested in peoples lives. During this time we had seen people delivered, miraculous healings had taken place and devil spirits were cast out. And all we did was believe and do what the Word of God tells us..

 

John 14:12:

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
